JUNE MUKHERJEE
Educated at Presidency College & Jadavpur University, she started her career as a Program Executive in 1996 with Audio Visual Arts, one of the 1st TV production houses of Kolkata that produced serials, films, ads & corporates. In 1998, when Rainbow Productions launched the first privately run news on Doordarshan, June joined the team as a Reporter. In 2000, she had to move to Delhi for personal reasons where she briefly worked for Zee News. In couple of months, she joined Broadcast Worldwide Limited to launch TARA BANGLA channel as an Associate Producer. With an exclusive Journalism Fellowship from CNN & experience of covering US Presidential elections 2009, June worked in all creative departments of television. She developed herself as a television all-rounder by growing with TARA TV NETWORK - initiating telefilms, leading the quality control division, redesigning the channels & producing programs beyond count. June left TARA TV in 2009 as Vice President & Channel Head (TARA NEWZ) for trying some more challenging avenues in new media. With a brief sabbatical June joined Fairfest Media Limited as Media Director in June 2009 to do some more challenging experiments involving New Media. June is married to Priyam Biswas, Creative Director, Orion Productions & Communications & their daughter Hiya Biswas studies at South Point School. June lives in Kolkata, India.
